Q.2 c) The Geological Survey of India (GSI) has approved to set up India’s first Geo-Park at Lamheta village on the banks of the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh.
A Geo-Park is a unified area which aims to protect the geological heritage in a sustainable way. The site is already in the UNESCO Geo-heritage tentative list. Several dinosaur fossils had been found in the Narmada valley, in the Bhedaghat-Lameta Ghat area of Jabalpur.
Q.3 c) United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Model Law on Cross border Insolvency (1997) is the most widely accepted legal framework on cross-border insolvency.
The Economic Survey suggested the adoption of UNCITRAL Law with certain modifications. It has been adopted by 49 countries such as Singapore, UK, US, South Africa and Korea. Insolvency Law Committee had recommended the adoption of UNCITRAL.
