External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has once again lambasted China for trying to unilaterally change the Line of Actual Control. In an interview with Austria’s national broadcaster ORF, the minister explained that China did not observe agreements with India on border issues and that is why there is a tense situation between the two neighbours. He elaborated that both sides had agreements not to amass forces in border areas. But with Beijing building up forces and military infrastructure along the border, China has disregarded the border pacts, leading to the strained relationship.
